Maybe we're not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. Maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is. Appreciating small victories. Admiring the struggle it takes simply to be human. Maybe we're thankful for the familiar things we know. And maybe we're thankful for the things we'll never know. At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate.

And yes, things that are different, especially in translation, can be identical. Example:
I drank a lot of water.
I consumed a bunch of H20.
Same thing, different words.
Fireproof was great, by the way! Awesome message, awesome music (John Waller's got some good, God edifying stuff!). I only wish Hollywood would take a hint...
I didn't like the music (just mute it if you don't like it), but the message was awesome and I would recommend it to every married couple. If everyone practised the Love dare, many marriages would be spared heartache.

yes the movie is VERY good!! I saw it in a theater and also own the movie!! All the music was God-honoring; whos to say its not?? And what does it matter what version of the Bible you use when its getting out the message of the Lord?? It doenst have to be KJV; it could be NIV, NAS, anything...if someone is so hard nosed to only want KJV or want to burn the movie all because it doesnt conform to their standards is a complete IDIOT!!! WHO CARES??? it gives a great illustration on what to do to save a failing marriage, and I really believe it could and would work if couples gave it a shot that had failing marriages..I really think it could work for unsaved couples too!
Can't wait to see Fireproof. Have it on my netflix list. Anybody seen "The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry?" Our local gospel station is promoting it, but it's farther away than I can get to. Would love to hear from you if you have seen it.
