I don't mean that I'm 100% against them, I do have good friends who go, I just almost go way extreme to make a point. The idea that you can't be right with God, or will never find a spouse, or ever do anything in your life if you don't go to Bible college is just wrong. Why can't a person just grow up in church, stay there after high school, learn the Bible there, find their spouse there, get a good job, raise godly children, and become a godly layman or elder in the church or something with out being looked down on? Thats really my only point....
I agree with you 100% on that point. I was kinda trying to put that across in my response earlier by noting that I had already been serving for years in the ministry before I ever went to Bible college. At this point in my life, I am losing the desire to get a degree from an unacreddited college. If you read my post "Student Life" in the WCBC forum, you'll know one of my main reasons for going back to Bible college.

LOL! Well, if I remember right it had something to do with a pretty face didn't it?

At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate.

Well, you got me there.
It sure would be nice to have someone to be able to come home to. I've even got a couple extra bikes just in case "she" likes to ride.

BAHAHAHAHA! I'll bet you're one of those Pentecostal Baptists who believes that God calls people to be Pastor's wives! LOL! ROFLMHO!
There's no question that God calls men to be preachers... so that being said, if a man is called to a preacher, and God has one woman intended for him, is she not called to be a preacher's wife?

Good for you. Who cares whether or not it is a "Bible college." There is nothing wrong with going to a "Bible College," a "Christian College," or a "Secular College." Wherever the Spirit leads. No one should be able to claim a monopoly on other people's callings.
I agree. I went to a secular college 15 mins from my hometown because I was blessed with a full scholarship. However, now, 6 years after making that decision, I wish I would have prayfully considered a Bible college. Working in the ministry, I feel like I have missed out on several things by not having the Bible college background... the Christian friends, the Bible study knowledge, etc.

Well, I've been to 2 of them, and the whole system is against how I see the Bible says things to be... I believe you should stay at home, train under your home church, and marry and go off from there.
well you should only go to college if you have prayed about it anyways and it sounds like you didn't do that!
I went to Providence Baptist College and i recommend it...I also recommend Champion Baptist College, I have alot of friends down there and they really like it

I prayed about it, and God told me to call you an idiot.

I've read of women missionaries like Mary Slessor who went out on their own and God provided for them. I talked with some guys in Australia and they still reap the benefits of her ministry there. . . .
Did you mean "Africa" instead of "Australia"? Because Mary Slessor went to Calabar, on the west coast of Africa, what is now Nigeria.

I go to HBBC, and i LOVE it. I looked at some other Bible colleges before i went to heartland, and then one while i was at HBBC. And i realized how amazing HBBC was, and was so thankful God sent me there. But i think there are a lot of good Bible Colleges our there. I think it all just depends on what you feel God is calling you to do.
