If so, who do you support? Do you watch the European game, particularly the English premier league?
I don't know much about the game in the States, only that I decided to support Salt Lake (Real Salt lake) for no other reason than I like the name, and I don't want to pick a team in either LA or NY.
But in Europe, I'm an Everton fan.
Everton are a fine team, with a long history in the game. We were the first club in Liverpool. We are the longest serving team in the top flight division. The last 20 years or so have seen a slight decline, but we're still there, competing with the best.
We've even got a church in the corner of our ground. We're the only professional club in England with a church!
Anyway, the point is, if you like football (or soccer), I would urge you to join the Everton revolution. Most overseas fans pick Manchester United or Liverpool. Big mistake. Those clubs lack soul and passion. They're corporate machines. But we're affectionately known as the People's Club. The man on the street supports Everton (hehehe).
Oh, and my name, Bob Latchford, is actually not my name at all. It belongs to an Everton great, who played for the mighty blues when i was a wee kid. He was my first sporting hero.
I'm a lady, and I love il Calcio! My favorite team is the Italian World Cup team. My favorite league team is Juventus. Gianluigi Buffon - oh! be still my heart! the man is fantastic!
My middle son played soccer growing up and in high school. That's when I learned to love the game. I'd rather watch soccer than any other sport because there aren't the endless time-outs that slow down football and basketball.
I enjoyed playing as a kid, all 4 of my kids currently play. I'll turn on a game every now and then on TV, but don't really follow any pro team. I did follow the Columbus Crew last year a little bit since they are about an hour north of me.

They're a fantastic team. Technically, the Italian league is the best in the world. I find it a bit slow and there is less blood and thunder in it than in England. The English premier league is probably more competitive and far more wealthy, which means some of the best players in the world play in it.
It's a shame that the US doesn't have more interest in soccer. It seems popular at school, but less so professionally. But you seem to be getting there. Plus, the US national team is pretty good. Tim Howard, the Everton goalkeeper, plays for you guys.
The world cup starts in the summer. My guess is Spain or Brazil will win it.
I'm not really a big fan but I am the assistant coach on my daughter's co-ed team this year. Last year, the team she played on lost every game. This year, we are 3-0 to this point with 7 games to go!
Oh, she is 7...

Hope the team goes all the way to the big 10, SC!
Keep your defense tight, and the wins will continue.

Our stud player didn't show up last game. The first half, the team just stood around and watched the ball and the game was scoreless. Then after the half, the kids got a burr under their saddle and we pulled off another win, 2-1!
5-0!
