In the recent years more and more questions are being raised about what women wear in order to be modest. I have even heard preachers and teaches say it is "Biblically wrong" for a woman to wear any type of pants or shorts. I have also heard preachers preach against men wearing shorts. Where do we draw the line? I personally believe that modest shorts and pants are fine on women, and men and shorts are just fine. But I am sort of new to "fundamentalist" views on some issues. What do you believe? (This is meant to be a friendly topic)

It is my opinion that preachers who say it is "biblically wrong" for women to wear pants are Judaizers, trying to force gentile believers into Old Testament Jewish rules.
It is further my opinion, as a gentile believer in Christ, that clothing ought to cover, not expose. and that there is no clear Bible answer of "an inch" here or "three fingers width" there.

You draw the line based on the culture around you at the time.
If you will be hanging around those believers who adhere to such standards and you purposely 'promote your freedom' by dressing against their standards, then that is wrong. If you wear jeans to a wedding or a tux to a church picnic, both would be wrong. If your daughter wears culottes to the swimming pool, that would be wrong.
There is no biblical mandate as to what to wear. However, if one is walking in the Spirit and not intending to be confrontational either by overdressing or underdressing, there is nothing to worry about.
So if your wife wears shorts to the grocery store, that should not be an issue, for she is not wearing them to 'display' anything or even to 'make a statement'.

Real Christianity should be identified by its production of spiritual fruit*, not religious nuts.

Why do you say that? I have done that and it was appropriate.
