WOOHOO!!! the parts to my breastpump came. I am going to try to get a good enough supply up so I can get Dinah off of the formula. It sure has been a struggle to nurse this little one.
ok, she will take all I can pump but doesn't want to nurse and get it for herself.
Not sure what is going on with this little girl
Grannylo, does she seem to fight and fuss when you put her on the breast? I know my oldest did that. I tried religiously for three months to get her to nurse. The whole time was a struggle. Finally, one day, my mom looked at me and said, "Would you just give her a bottle already." She wasn't being nonsupportive, she was just tired to see my and the babies frustration. I switched her to a bottle within days. It was a very fast weaning. I pumped to relieve myself and nursed her very little. I didn't have an electric breast pump or I would have probably just pumped and not used any formula.
I'm not saying that is what you should do, I'm just saying that nursing didn't work for her very well. She struggled to breathe while nursing (I'm small busted so it wasn't me. ) She had trouble with large adenoids and she was very snotty quite a bit of the time, so for her, the work she had to do to nurse wasn't worth the hassle she had to deal with to try breathing. When I gave her the bottle, she was always tilted up and could breathe far better while eating.
I hope you figure out what the problem is with your little one soon. I remember that frustration all too well.
