...Ok, The command to "Keep silence", when taken in context, means "in the formation of doctrine", as 1 Cor 14 is entirely about formation of doctrine based on Spiritual Outpouring. To take that verse and apply it to audible speech is not rightly dividing the Word.
So, ask away, that's not what the verse is talking about, but if you have a doctrinal question, best to go through your Husband
I noticed that in the FFF I have to argue just a part of my side in a way that's not really as balanced as I am just to get the point across... I hope that statement makes sense. - Mr. Penguin

oh. because I get the idea that men in church want us to "shut up" because godly women are quiet and meek (meaning, no questions)

in the church when a man is candidating, and invites the congregation to ask him questions?
is this "violating" scripture?
the scripture says let them keep silent "for it is commanded"....
but now it is commanded to ask questions. so, how is that violating anything?
I have studied this for a long time. There is an article out there called "Women keep Silent in the churches" in the book "Biblical Manhood and Womanhood" and the conclusion is that it is referring to the time when the Elders of a church are testing prophecies. in I Cor it says "When a woman prays or prophecies" and it tacitly thereby approves of both.
Location: the problem with Christianity isn't easy believism the problem with Christianity is easy prayerism

So, no, she is not in violation.
. . . but prophecies have ceased. . .haven't they?

They are to sing and participate, but not preach or form doctine.

Sounds like you asked him :P
I do think that he should ask the question publicly if he doesn't know rather that you, though.
Of course I don't think he should accept the pastors answer, but rather ask all the men in the church then decide ;D
