Tom Harding is a "southern accent" preacher that I found on Sermon Audio whom I like to listen to sometimes. I think he is Reformed Baptist, and he has a way of being both deep and simple with that "southern charm."

    OR...

you could go BASS hunting with an IFB. That wouldn't be boring either, or it hasn't up to this point.

One of the best preachers on SermonAudio.com that I have found so far is David Downs, even though I don't agree 100% with his theology. At least IMO.

Adrian Rogers is with the Lord now, but his sermons are still available on radio and the net. He was born in Florida and pastored for decades in TN. He was an outstanding preacher and gentlemen.

I live in a northern state and have personally found the majority of messages by these southern preachers to either be lackluster, or such that make me yawn and bore me to death because they seem to lack any real content or depth.

Does anyone else find that to be true for them as well?
I personally find the opposite to be true...most of the southern pastors to be very biblical, bold and on fire...I also have found that churches are more alive then those in the North...I have been kicked out of churches because of preaching the bible in the North....and I have preached in dead church after dead church, up north....

Not saying that there are not poor preachers and dead churches in the south....Its just my experinces have been that the south is more alive then the north.

If you are wanting to hear some good preaching... from southern preachers...here are a few to look up some you might find on Sermon audio others you won't...but you can find there sermons on there web sites...

Johnny Hunt, Greg Locke, Braxton Hunter, Harold Hunter, Jeff LaBorg, Ronnie Owens, Nathan Wilkerson, Terry Wilkerson, Manley Beasley....among many others....many of these are pastors I have known and have heard in person!

    • Your = shows possession. Used in a sentence - Your misuse of the contraction you're is grossly offensive.

Well that could be a problem us southeners don't mind spending 45 min. to an hour and a half at church listening to sermons!....I was at a camp meeting in Dickson Tn....when the church started at 6pm and did not end till 10:00 that night!...and it was the best time I ever had in a church!!
