I'd like to give up half of it.... but not all of it. I love the family and worship aspect of it but not the focus on money and how commercial it is...

Maybe we're not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. Maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is. Appreciating small victories. Admiring the struggle it takes simply to be human. Maybe we're thankful for the familiar things we know. And maybe we're thankful for the things we'll never know. At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate.

You do realize that a so-called "candy cane" is really an upside-down J? It stands for "Jewish Conspiracy."

Nope, not hapening. I don't care what Christmas' origins were. They're not the same now. Get with the program and quit whining and trying to out good everybody else. If you can't do that then shut up about it and quit trying to ruin it for the rest of us.
