Actually Baptists had already made a revision of the 1611 KJV that was printed in 1842. A later edition by a different publisher in 1846 or 1847 put on its binding "Baptist Bible."
Haven't you been listening to Herb Evans or Will Kinney? There are not, and never have been, any variants among ANY of the different printings of the KJV. Never, ever, EVER!
Well, Hreb might have some credibility....he was around for the first one in 1611!
The irony of a FBCH KJV is that instead of cleaning up variants it would create one more, and one that has a built in fan base which would only serve to stir up more dissention.
The answer? Accept the KJV as a good translation and leave it at that.
I must've missed something somewhere - is FBCH planning on producing a Bible? Where did this info come from? Is this what the summit is about? (I got a letter about attending a summit this summer)

I don't know if FBCH is actually planning on producing an edition of the Bible.
In the forum for Hyles-Anderson College in the Fundamentalist Colleges forums, there is a thread entitled "Publishing a FBCH Bible" that has a little more information and that may be the source for this thread.

Someone at Hyles Publications said today that the KJV Summit had been cancelled. I do not know if that relates in any way to the claim that they had planned to have an edition of the KJV made.
I'll put these on the Ipod and give them a listen.
