Whether you agree with the blogger or not, it appears what FBC Jax went through to get the bloggers identity has many in Jacksonville and around the country upset with how a church can use its members who have influence in city government to obtain the name of the blogger, so now the blogger has obtained legal counsel who will now get to the bottom of this mess.
So now he is going from sowing discord to taking a brother/church to law. Yeah, he wants to keep the spirit of the Bible. He should be marked as a heathen and a publican.

Eb, one thing can be said, you are very consistent. Regardless of the evidence, or lack thereof, you can always be counted on to defend the pastor or the church. Forget waiting to hear what actually happened and then decide. That does give you longer to make up lame excuses in the event that the pastor/church is found to be in the wrong though.
Hope you are feeling/doing well my friend.

I agree with the matter going legal. They church used the law to obtain the identity of the blogger, so they threw the first stone in legality.

What don't we know? We know the blogger spent time criticizing the pastor church cowardly, all the while attending and saying little or nothing about such things publicly. Then when things happened that concerned the law enforcement officials, the one who was in charge of that looked into it. The coward was unmasked and shown for all the church to see. Big deal. I see no great first amendment case here. Just a malcontent who was made to own his opinions.

Boy if this ever gets to court, you better get ready for all kinds of crap to hit the fan.

Why would criticizing a pastor raise the concern of law enforcement? Last I heard, criticizing a church (anonymously, cowardly, or otherwise) wasn't illegal.
It was the church that dragged the law into the situation when it used its connections with the police to have the blogger investigated. They have no right to complain about a brother taking a brother before a judge. If it turns out the blogger's legal rights have been violated, I would hope he has the means to seek redress.

And don't forget, the church also used its influence to have two other non-church members investigated, people who are bloggers but are not members of the FBCJAX and never hinted at, applauded, or suggested anything criminal or violent. I hope all three of them unite for a class action lawsuit against Brunson and his cronies in law enforcement,

You haven't been paying attention, apparently. They had other incidents happen that raised concern, and the authorities got involved. The police are sensitive to such threats because of the recent shootings in places of worship. A blogger could well have been the cause of the other incidents. One never knows until one investigates.
