I have been reading the bible for the last year or so, but something happened recently that has shown me without a doubt, that God is real, and that he loves us, and listens to our prayers.

My father was diagnosed with congestive heart failure about 3 months ago. On Sunday, November 1, his heart flipped over, and he was rushed to the hospital. The next day he went into cardiac arrest, his heart stopped, he had to be revived, and he was not getting any oxygen to his brain for 15 minutes. The doctor said that after 10 minutes they usually give up hope.

My family has been praying, and he was put on numerous prayer lists. The catscan showed that he had no brain damage, 3 days ago he started breathing on his own, 2 days ago he was taken off of the ventilator without a trake, which the doctors said he would need, and today he is back to his old self pretty much, but with a new outlook on life. The doctor said that he is a walking miracle. This has changed me, and my whole family, I know I will never doubt God again, he truly does work miracles.

This is indeed a miraculous recovery. Praise God! His mercies are new every morning.

My father was a resident physician in a small town hospital. He had stories of how he sat up til all hours waiting for a patient to pass and finally upon complete exhaustion going home to catch an hour or two of sleep before starting the next day. He would inform the staff at the hospital that he would sign the death certificate when he came in the next morning. And when he came in the next morning would find the patient sitting up in bed enjoying breakfast. God certainly is in charge of all!
