Friday evening I went visiting with one of my men, Darryl Dobbs, on his bus route. He was very excited. He had made some new contacts, and he was hoping that they were going to ride this Sunday. We had the unusual blessing of finding nearly all of his bus families at home (at this stage he doesn't have too many families to draw from each week), and we did meet a number of new prospects, some of which promised to be present on Sunday.
Brother Darryl had 22 on his bus, which was a record for him! After the message, my wife stepped during the invitation over to three teenage girls who were sitting together, one of whom came for the first time the previous week, and the other two who were with us for their first visit. In just a moment they all headed back to an inquiry room.
I closed the service, but some of us hung around, and, praise the Lord, all three girls trusted Christ! Amen!
Two of them came back for the evening service and made public professions of faith. They wanted to get baptized, but the mother of one wanted to be present. She has promised to attend next Sunday.
We thank the Lord for His goodness, and we covet your prayers as we try to do follow-up on these new converts and to evangelize their families and friends.

I'll be leaving in about a half hour and probably won't get back until late tonight, maybe around 10. If I can, I'll give a little update. I plan to go out again with Brother Darryl on his bus route (he and the bus route are fairly new, less than a year going so far and I've tried to visit with him to encourage him) this evening. I hope we can at least touch base with these families and encourage them to show up Sunday.
Then tomorrow we will have the second Saturday of our annual door-knocking "blitz" with our gospel newspaper. I would appreciate your prayers for us about that. Sunday will be Open House Sunday. Monday and Tuesday Lonnie Mattingly of Louisville, KY will be preaching for us.

Amen ... I went out visiting tonight with the captain of that route. Although we didn't get to talk to the girls, at least one buddy of theirs thinks that they are planning to be baptized Sunday. We'll see. That bus captain is sure encouraged.

PRAISE GOD BROTHER!
It is good to hear that God is still working, even when many people out there believe He doesn't! This past Sunday God worked and we saw one saved. In fact, in the last 5 weeks we have seen a total of 8 saved.
Hallelujah! God IS on the throne!
