I trust they will all get baptized Sunday. what a blessing that would be. keep us posted.
We praise the Lord that Sunday all three teen girls plus one more, for a total of four, were baptized. Additionally, we had three public professions of faith, all young people.
Tonight we had one of the most encouraging soul-winning visitation nights in a long time. Four adults and two teens were won to the Lord in their homes. One team of three men led two teen boys to the Lord at one house. Two ladies led two mothers to the Lord at another home. At least one of the mothers was the mother of a teen girl who got saved a couple of Sundays ago. The teen has come to every service since, including the two nights when Brother Mattingly preached.
My wife and I visited an adult couple tonight who visited Sunday. I had met the man on Saturday knocking on doors with the church newspaper. They were a little cautious, being black, wondering how they would be received in a predominantly white church, but they came anyway. I recognized him immediately and made a big deal out of him visiting with us. They were on my heart tonight, so I asked my wife, rather than my usual soul-winning partner, a man, to go with me, thinking that we might catch both husband and wife at home.
It's a pretty rough neighborhood, and they weren't quick to open the door when I knocked. Rather, they shouted through the door to see who was knocking. They didn't hear me the first time, so we had a little shouting match until they realized who was visiting them. They readily invited us in. We spent a while in small talk. When I asked them if they knew for sure they would go to heaven if they died, both said "no." We sat down at the dining table, I opened a Bible, they listened as I tried to give a careful presentation of the gospel (our entire visit lasted about an hour and a half), and they both trusted Christ!
I've encouraged them to come Sunday, walk the aisle, get baptized, and join the church Sunday. Please pray for these precious souls.

Praise the Lord Pastor Oneal! What a blessing it has been to read of God's blessing in your life and the life of your members in the past few weeks! And of course, in the lives of those being saved!
I can almost hear the angels rejoicing wildly because not one but two sinners have repented (and they have long lives ahead of them to serve Christ). May God continue to bless your ministry.

I just saw this one. Wow, the Holy Spirit is working in Albany!

If anything good is being done, surely the Lord is the Author of it. I guess we will find out at the judgment seat of Christ some of what God was doing versus what we were doing.
For instance, tonight I got a call from the woman whom my wife and I led to the Lord along with her husband. She seems to be balking a bit about baptism. I can't tell if she is scared of getting baptized (lots of folks are), if she has decided that she was already saved, or what. It sounds like she and her husband still plan to attend in the morning. I don't intend to push her. I told my wife tonight after praying for them that whatever they do tomorrow should be sincere and be genuine. I hope that they at least make it to the services. I believe that the devil enthusiastically tries to intimidate people whenever they make a right decision.
I do appreciate your prayers.

Thank you for your diligence and keeping up the fight
I really appreciate everyone's prayers and encouragement. Of the six who made professions in their homes on Thursday night, three of them came to church, and two of them made public professions of faith. We'll see if we can do some more follow-up on the other three as well. We also had two more youngsters saved in junior church yesterday.
We are not a large church. We are not doing all that we should do or being all that we should be. However, it is a great blessing to have an opportunity to minister to people and see some of them allow God to make a difference in their lives and eternal destiny. I would hate to be a part of a church that sees the exact same crowd Sunday after Sunday with no conversions, baptisms, or additions.
