I praise the Lord for some helpful advice I received of my sis-in-law for my aching heel of left foot. Ever since I had the baby, I've been walking to lose all this weight, and my foot was SO painful, I was afraid what it might be. so I've just been suffering with it. It even hurt after a good night's sleep- being off it!
Well, she told me she had the same thing (its called Plantar's Fascitis)

"Plantar fasciitis results in moderate to disabling heel pain. Plantar fasciitis is caused by long periods on the feet, being overweight, and wearing shoes that do not support the foot well. If nine to twelve months of conservative treatment (reducing time on feet, non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, arch supports) under the supervision of a doctor does not result in pain relief, a fasciotomy may be done."

Well, I'm overweight and always barefoot or in flip-flops, so, they prolly don't support my foot well.

Anyway, sis told me to stretch my muscle before walking and message my achilles heel and get a Doc Scholls foot pad for my shoe. well, I'll wear shoes if I have to...but the stretching has already helped!

    praise the Lord!

In addition to the stretching, you can also get a sleeping boot --"night splint) for that --which you can sleep in. It is supposed to help although I have not tried it. Here is one that is pretty low in cost compared to some prices I've seen. (Might get this for my husband. I have this problem too but not as bad.)
    Amazon.com: Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint - M, Women's: 9-11, Men's: 7-10: Health & Personal Care Amazon.com: Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint - M, Women's: 9-11, Men's: 7-10: Health & Personal Care

Consider taking 1 to 2000 mgs (or more) of Vitamin C daily too. That will reduce the inflammation and hopefully the pain. I had pain in the inside of my foot (the bony area) for a long time. It kept getting worse and worse. I was limping. I started taking 2,000 mgs of vitamin C a day and have never had the pain again.
