Though not a one year "choke" I would have to say the Chicago Cubs.
No matter how good they really are or how well they play, they can't get into the World Series. And it is 'weird' stuff that has been linked to it from the black cat to the Gatorade glove to the Bartman Ball.
I told my son that if they were one out away from going to the WS with a 5 run lead and no runners on base, the sprinklers would go off and they would find a way to lose that game and blame it on the sprinklers.

ditto agreed, I was gonna say the Red Sox (I am a fan), but I do believe the cubs have them beat
