wow, Wendel Evans is still alive?
anyway.. it's been a tradition that he comes to preach the Sunday after Pastors School. (if i remember correct) and maybe Wendel doesn't agree w/ the weirdness that Jack Schaap has been spewing so.. just cos Gomez and Schaap dont see things the same way, doesn't mean Gomez and Evans have to split.

True. but, by doing so he is corporately breaking ties with FBC as well. I went to school there for two years and there is much enmity between the two. mostly on the part of NBBC. They are good people that have a spiteful leader. Not everyone hates FBC there, but many do and do not know why they do! I left after my sophomore year because of some other issues that I did not agree with, the fact that Gomez hates schaap (yet will preach at PS whenever asked) was just a small issue compared to others.















Like that fact that you weren't allowed to have very many blacks on your bus route!! that one killed it for me!

I really don't know if it is accurate to say Dr. Gomez hates Dr. Schaap. First of all no one can truly know another persons heart. Second Dr. Gomez cited specific things that Dr. Schaap published in a book. He was questioning the scriptual backing of what Dr. Schaap put in his book. Do a lot of members of NBBC "HATE" FBC? What are some other evidences of Dr. Gomez's being "Spiteful". As far as the bus route issue goes I know for a fact that FBC has much more segregated practices. If you really thought about the ramifications of filling your bus with black kids I am pretty sure you would have the same rule at your church.

Are you serious? n00bs get a second chance with me - are you really gonna stand by the above underlined statement?

I think it is fair to say that most people who let their children ride church busses use it as a babysitting service. Most bus kids do not have an ideal home situation. Some come from a single parent household, some are abused, some are simply raising themselves (and sometimes their siblings). That being said trying to keep control can be a trying situation. When one specific ethnic group has more of a tendency than others to not behave themselves and won't respond to a bus worker's requests it makes it almost impossible to maintain control of the bus. When there is no control on a church bus children who do behave and follow instructions don't want to be a part of that and therefore will no longer ride the bus. When any child not taught to behave and listen to authority figures, they tend to be uncontrollable. I guess that makes me a racist. Blame me not the parents who aren't doing their job.
