Just as I get settled in my route and things are going good, I have just bee offered a FULL TIME position at one of the companies I applied to.

    What should I do!?!?!?

I will be seeking the Lord tonight. Please pray for an extra dose of wisdom... I'll need it.

I don't know what "route" you are talking about but I'll be praying for you.

If it's between two jobs, which would allow you to more completely "seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you" Matt 6:33?

Sometimes changing jobs seems like a "no brainer", but at other times, there is no right or wrong. We know it's the Lord that directs our paths, but don't you wish He would drop a "roadsign" occassionally so we know EXACTLY the path we're suppossed to take?

May God Bless You as you seek His direction.

Thank you, God is indeed blessing.

I have been working out of a school district bus yard for about the past year and a half and I have finally secured a regular route. This is a small school district with very low turn-over and I have been waiting patiently for an opportunity to come on as a regular employee with all the benefits which go with the position. While waiting, I was looking elsewhere for employment. I applied to one company who did not have the openings I wanted (or they said they had). I finally got the chance to apply for the route, but almost as soon as I threw my hat in the ring, the spiritual attacks began. I have posted some of the details in other posts in the prayer request forum. Well, almost as soon as I am got settled in my new route, which is still a part-time job, but like I said, has benefits, the company I applied to earlier emailed me offering me a full time hourly position. I am sure the money would be better at the other position, but after thinking about it and praying about it, I decided to forgo the extra money for something that is likely going to be more stable in the long run. It was almost like the enemy couldn't sway me from taking the route, so he tried distracting me with the position I would have jumped at just a few weeks ago.

Again, thank you for your prayers... I needed wisdom to quickly give an answer and the Lord did what He promised in James 1:5. Not full time hours, but great peace.

And yes, one of the reasons I am staying with the school district is because it allows me the freedom to participate in church and family. Other jobs I have had had me working weird hours which left me unable to function when church was meeting. (If I could get there!)

Praying for God to give you a full time job with all the benefits and yet allow you to serve Him.
