For those of you who know me, pray for me. I was offered a promotion and called my Manager this morning after a long night of prayer and meditation on the word.
It means huge pay increase, but also a much greater committment to the company. We signed the largest contract we have ever signed and it goes into effect November 4. My Manager is moving into a director's position and I am taking hers.
Well, it is complicated. I needed the promotion. I quit my second job. And when I checked my email this morning, they are offering everyone with Supervisory level or above the opportunity to travel 3 months at a time to help transition one of the new companies we purchased to our corporate values. And Corporate values is one of my strong points. I have had 4 recommendations (small bonuses) with regard to them.
The prayer I need today is, do I look into the offers of travel. It means 3 months at a time in another city.
Houston, Pueblo, Philly, San Pedro (Very small operation), Kansas City, and a few more.

I'm new here and I don't know you, but I will pray. This is not an easy decision. If you have a family, I am sure that your wife has some input and I would carefully consider her views. Your children should have input. A couple of years ago I took a class out of town that was only 2 weeks in length. My children were devestated. It was only two weeks, but it was very difficult on them. Three months would definitely be out for us.
Of course, your wife and children may think and react completely different from mine. I will be praying for you and trust you will follow the Lord's leading. Don't act hastily, as I'm sure you won't.
