Default My wife's blood pressure medicine is out

My wife has run out of blood pressure medicine and she has no refill left on the prescription. I called the doctor and they won't renew it unless she comes in. Of course we can't pay for the office visit, so she's upset and I'm upset too.

This is all my fault and I know it. It's just not right that she has to die just because of me.

Praying. Is there a free clinic that she could go to and get a prescription? Maybe she could get the generic version which Walmart may have for a cheap price.

I ran out three weeks ago and didn't have the money and just got a refill sent and am waiting for it. I doubt she dies but please search out help. I will pray for your situation.

I just went without mine for way too many days. Mine has a water pill mixed into it. I was a bit swelled to say the least. Got it yesterday, it is amazing how much water a body can retain.

I ran out of mine last week and was going to wait until next week to get a new prescription for something cheaper. Insurance pays for most of it, but this is a new medicine and I have to pay $25 for each refill.

My blood pressure went up to 160/120 yesterday and I felt awful... I ended up getting it refilled.

For Topseekret- My sister has high blood pressure and she was prescribed 2 different medications that Wal-Mart will fill for free. If you go to a Wal Mart pharmacy, they will give you a list of medications they offer for free or for just a couple of dollars. You still have to have a prescription for them, but at least you don't have to pay for the medicine.

I am happy I live in a place I can run down to the drugstore and get anything I want for pennies on the dollar.

Where do you get it for pennies on the dollar? Canada? yeah, I'm way too far away from Canada.

Walmart? Yep. The $4 list. When I was still seeing my doctor, I told him that I didn't want any medicine unless it was on the $4 list at Walmart.

Now my wife's blood pressure medicine is Lotrel I think. It has generic, but it's not on the Walmart $4 list. If I'm wrong, I hope I find out soon. In fact, I'm going to check again right now.... nope. it's not in there.

Anyway, what happened is I got doc to call it in yesterday, but it's just for a month. Because somebody gave me some money I was able to go get it this afternoon. I could only get half of it, but that's good enough for now.

Thank you for praying for me and my family.

Try a foreign online pharmacy. I bought eye drops that I don't have a scrip for without a scrip. Easy to do.

If she truly has out of control blood pressure problems and must be seen by a doctor right away, then talk with your pastor about some financial assistance. And review your budget today to see what you can cut out. Medical needs trump most others.

    Wink Just my experience

Keep in mind that I am not a Doctor. However, I got my blood pressure lowered naturally with garlic and I have not needed any medication since. My blood pressure is always good. Except when I fell and was full of pain, it was high. But now that I have that under control, it is back to normal. But I take orderless garlic everyday. Just an experience not advice.
