Update
Here are a few updates from Chad concerning Cassidy:
1. Cassidy's leukemia is in remission after the first month.
2. This means nothing as she still faces 2 years and 3 more phases of treatment.
3. On Mondays, she has her treatments. This 2nd phase includes 4 spinal taps. One happens each Monday and she faces 3 more.
4. She is not on the steroids anymore, so her mood swings have gone and her personality is beginning to return.
5. She has a minor cold and is congested, and since she is being treated she may have to spend some time in the hospital just in case.
6. She is getting a "port" in her chest on Monday.
He is finding it hard b/c he is missing Myndi. He is also there with Cassidy at the hospital while his other girls are in school.
He spends most of his time at the doctor, hospital and with Cassidy.
He said, when Cassidy gets her shots, She cries for Myndi.
Please pray for him. He is such a good man, but I know that he is lonely.
I am so encouraged and uplifted after talking to him. God has used him in a great way and is continuing to bless his life.
Right now as I recall our afternoon conversation, a few things come to mind:
As a husband, If I lost my wife, I would do anything to have her back. So, while I have my wife, I will love her....more.
As a father, I will not take my kids for granted. I hugged them tightly and with great affection today after school.
Thank you for praying.
