    Default PCCBoard.com

I'm sure some of the PCC people have heard of PCCBoard. And while I'm not starting this thread as an advertisement, I was curious if other Christian colleges had similar alumni oriented websites started separately from the official college website. I understand the unique background for PCCBoard since I've been there for a while but is it that unique?

I realize that some people think of it as a site designed to "bash" the college, but what many don't realize is how many people use it as a central meeting place to speak with other alumni and students. The tone over there is surprisingly similar to FFF in some ways. Not in the negative way but more in the positive way. Granted, both sites get their share of trolls but that isn't indicative of the general group of regular posters.

Anyway, I was just curious if other Christian Colleges had sites like this.

Fairhaven also has a site for alumni to reunite. It is not affiliated with Fairhaven- just a place where some of us hang out and reminisce.

I posted there for a while, as Thaumadzo, and I know several of the guys over there personally from my days at PCC. I just never could connect there like I have here. I think perhaps it is because there is more of a cross section on a board like this. PCC board seemed to be people from the same generation, social class, economic background, and beliefs. I know that is being too general, but I do like the diversity of this place better.

"At some sub-conscious level America and Europe reacted to the new post-war materialism of the 1950's in different ways. Europeans, realizing that materialism was incompatible with Christianity quietly ditched the religion. American's took the opposite course and changed the Christian message to suit their materialism."

I'm a PCC grad, but I had not heard of PCCBoard until I saw this thread. Thanks for the info.

I graduated in 93. Now I'm racking my brain trying to remember if I knew you.

Your avatar picture looks vaguely familiar but it's been a while. Guess I'm getting old. Plus, I was a little on the shy side at the time and didn't get out enough. I always kind of regretted that. But I did manage to meet my wife there so it wasn't all bad. LOL.

Well, I have stated many times on here who I am, so I don't mind telling you. My maiden name was Suzanne Mulkey. I was an accounting major, and I was at PCC from 1987-1991.

Suzanne, were you a dorm or town student? By '87, I was a town student, but I also thought you looked very familiar.

I was a dorm student. I lived in Dixon Fresh, Soph, and Sr. years. I lived in Griffith Jr. year.
