Darn! How did I miss this thread before?? I've been looking high & low for some snazzy new culottes!!! I bet some savvy shopper here has already snapped them up by now....

Guess what my mom just asked me today if I had an extra pair of? Yep, culottes! Bwahahahaha! I haven't needed any since college but she knows I had some around 'cuz my daughter used them once when she attended a youth conference with my parents IFBx church. My mom is nearly 70 years old, she should feel free to wear slacks to a church event but can't because the pastor doesn't like it. I'm glad she is respectful but it is why I can't go back to that kind of church. They are not really happy there but have few options.

Sooooo, up to the attic I go to search for "cluglottes" as Aleshanee would say. I may have yet another pair lurking about up there. Scary thought!

The last pair of culottes I bought was for attending the youth camp that was run by the Revival Fires folks (Joe Boyd preached) in West Virginia. On Friday, I took the culottes off, threw them into the trash can, shuddered a half dozen times, and got on the bus for the ride home.

At one point they were stylish. But prairie dress were stylish at one time too. We are women of the 21st century, it's our job to be modest in our time...and that doesn't include culottes or prairie dresses.

Well...I don't even know how to touch this one.

    OK, I have to.

That must have been an interesting ride home. No culottes??? I hope it was girls only. D:

Guess what? My mom called today and asked me if I have a pair of culottes left anywhere. Now I have to go into the dark recesses of my attic to see if I missed sending a pair off to Salvation Army. I'm glad she's the one who goes to an IFBx church--I'd rather not have to bother trying to find clothing that has to be made by someone. It's not something I wish to bother with at this time in my life.

May the Lord bless those who wear them--it's quite an ordeal for some to find them. (I would have to make my own--I don't care for the ones I see on the websites.)

If a little girls undies show when she's four or five, it's funny/cute. If they show when she's 15 or 16 . . . not good.

Guess what I'm making? Yep, a new pair of culottes for my mom. I have given away all the old ones I had and knew I would never use--then mom calls up and asks if I have any. She's lost weight recently and doesn't have any that fit. Good night! Soooo, I decided to be a good daughter and I'm gonna make her some khaki culottes.

A friend made them for me when we were going to Disney so we could ride the rides and such. They are all in great shape. The jean ones show a little wear but the others are perfect. I just used the jean ones the most. They will hit you an inch or two below the knee depending on how tall you are.

I also have 2 pairs of kids coullottes they are the exact same as the adult one they are just smaller. I have a light blue and a dark blue pair. They will fit I believe size 4t-6 because they are elastic they will last your kid for a while. My girls are 8 now and put them on but they don't quite reach their knees anymore and they were made for them when they were 5.

I have various other modest skirts for summer for sz 12/14 and for girls sz 6-8 if you are interested let me know.

I don't know what to ask maybe $10-15per pair plus shipping. I think with material and time I paid my friend $30/pair so half is fair I guess.

    Thanks.
Coulottes? Those hideous inventions of the devil?
