Thanks Chad - I am certified in sound system engineering as well as acoustical engineeering - his key word was laptop - so that means it's not permanent - most good sound boards have DIs built in (mine at the house has) and to add another DI box to make it a balanced input (XLR) would just add more clutter - Long runs and permanent installations would be different - the last time I did that I just built a high quality stereo FM transmitter and used a receiver at the back of the auditorium - I used this as the sound system for our TV broadcast - worked really well - I'll send a copy of this to David - Doesn't matter what you write on the FFF, you will always find oposition - God bless - Bro.
