I live in a mid-sized city. Fairly community-oriented. We are a part of the "it's not always what you know, but who you know" system.

Today there is a black cloud over our city. We have crime here on a daily basis, but the type that we woke up to this morning is overwhelming.

You are right.

I am headed over to the school now to listen to some of the seniors 'just talk.' Apparently, that is what they want to do. I am no expert in this area at all, so I covet your prayers.

I really did nothing but sit and listen to the seniors tell stories about their classmate. Boy! She must have been fun. There were tears, but there were also many smiles.

I did have some of her cheerleader pictures on my computer. Her mother and I were working on a poster just three weeks ago at my scrapbooking event. So, I took each member of the senior class a picture of Connor with her beautiful smile looking at the camera.

I just cannot imagine life being so bad that someone would do this....
