You all should have left this post dead. This is all info that haters KNOW as true and defenders KNOW is false. This is all a bunch of bunk now. The man is dead, leave him be. Come up with some more rumors on the living. I think Pastor Schaap had an affair also, and I have REAL PROOF with me right now!! (Unless you ask me for it, then a former staff member showed it to me last week) hehe

I dont need to get a hold of a bunch of quitters who are just jealous of the biggest and best church in the world!

Too bad they have no proof that my preacher did these bad things.

I know that some things were kind of weird but no matter what I would follow my preacher.

Instead of looking for the sin of your preacher I think that some of these loswers need to go out and build a bus route or knock on some doors.

I hope that my loyalty is always there.

I do not know if this book was ever published. This occured while my professor lived in the Chicago area. I read the notes and the interviews that he conducting. OK...I'm going to put my little "dog" in this "fight" for one second to say this...

First of all, if you are going to say you have "proof"...produce it or don't say it. That's called "gossip" or "hearsay" or something, but it isn't proof. Secondly, and interview isn't proof, as humans can, and sometimes do, lie.

Thirdly, I find it strangely ironic that you would hesitate to "resort to name-calling" but you don't hesitate to drag up a dead man's name and tired, old accusations. Whatever he did...he ain't doing it no more!!! Good, bad or indifferent, he cannot hurt you anymore. Sounds like your beef is with Dr. Schaap.

Here's a little sidebar, before Ransom swoops in to make comments regarding my idol worship or something...I left FBC several years ago, not long after Dr. Hyles death. I have friends still there. They are okay. They aren't self-imploding or destructing. I don't have to feel that I should stay and they don't have to feel that they should leave. We each deal with our decisions with our Heavenly Father, as we ought.

I'm not questioning your concern for your family. This notion, though, that "word of mouth" is "PROOF" is so beyond my scope of understanding. Wonder how many cases have been won in court by that kind of "proof."

Again, this is MHLO and I know subjects me to the taunts and criticisms of others, most likely beginning with Ransom...and I'm good with that. Fact is, I rather enjoy it. Nonetheless, it is what I believe.
