Now I know the opinion of many on the forum as to honorary doctorates versus people who have earned them but my question is, what is the attraction here? If we don't want or need the worlds stamp of approval on our educational system, why the doctorates? Does it make the colleges more attractive if some of their faculty have a Dr. in front of their name. Every year I see men I went to college with who are now Dr. somebody. We have more doctors than the University of Chicago Hospital.
