Not here to start a debate or anything.

Just had a question on employment as a student down at Hyles Anderson. I am actually looking at going to school down there for the 2012-2013 school year. Actually had a lot of people that was talking me into going to school there once I graduated from high school. But, at that point I did not feel the calling from God for me to go to school at Hyles at that point and time in my life. Instead I elected to go to school here in my home town where I went for nursing. Basically, I wanted to pray more about going down to Hyles and wanted to make sure that was something he wanted for my life. Plus, I dont know if it was out of rebellion or what but I didn't want to go to a school where everyone was telling me I should go. I wanted to go because God wanted me there.

Right now I am still praying about it and was looking into the college. I have spoke to other students and read different things on here about how women or young ladies where not allowed off campus without a chaperone. On their website it talks about how men could find employment off campus but, nothing was ever said about young ladies finding employment. I know they have the Jericho Plan and was interested in that and actually think its a great idea to help students out the first years of college. I also know is that it is optional I think, or at least from what I was told.

Anyways to the main point on why I am here and would like your opinion on. While I was in school for Nursing I was able to get a scholarship which is called the Nursing Program Scholarship which paid for everything along with giving each student a 1300 dollar stipened each month. Only thing is after I graduated it is mandatory for all nurses whom got this scholarship to work in a hospital, nursing facility, etc with a extreame(sp? brain not working today) shortage of nurses for a min of 2 years either full or part time. I was just wondering how if I did decide to go to Hyles, I still got a year before I go down to pray more about it, how this would work? I have to work for 2 years after graduation somewhere as it was part of the rules for the scholarship. Each student has six months from the time of graduation to take an offer from one of the Facilities they have on a list. I know with Hyles they really do not want females off campus at all or at least from what I hear.

In your opinion, should I wait 2 years and get my mandatory 2 year nurse working requirement fullfilled before I go down to Hyles Anderson College? Or should I call the college and speak to whom ever is in the employment department there and explain my situation and go from there? What would you do in this situation?

Also, any information on employment policies for Hyles Anderson would be great.
