This is not so we can know someone's age but so younger members (say, under the age of 18) can be easily identified somehow. The reason for this is that I would approach a juvenille in a much different manner than I would an adult who is acting like a juvenille! I do not want to lambaste a kid for being a kid after all! :o

The forum member could choose whether or not they want to make their birthdate public but you will have it in order to make a calculation to determine whether they are adults or adolescents.

This would also serve to protect some of the younger folks here should someone try to talk inappropriately to them! :eek:

And yes, I understand that this is something that can be easily manipulated as you really have no control over my stating that I am a 14 year old girl or a 72 year old man but it would work for those who are trying to keep things honest!:D
