I am just sinking my teeth into the biblical doctrines of grace and would like to ask some questions to those who are opposed to "calvinism".

In the opposing view of calvinism, as far as I know, it is believed that we can, personally, be responsible for a soul's eternal destiny and that we are capable of convincing one of their sinful state so that they might believe. I have heard countless sermons from "soul-conscious" IFBx preachers that God will be blaming us at the Bema seat for those who are in hell because we didn't give them a tract at the super market.

Should not we all then be following a "seeker friendly" philosophy of ministry and yoking up with all manner of worldly churches in order to "get the gospel out" and to "win souls"? Why don't we call everyone to quit their jobs and go out and preach the gospel full-time? If a soul's eternal destiny is in your hands, then why are you not compromising in the hope of "winning souls?"

Sorry if I misrepresented your views but the logical conclusion of semi-pelagian/arminian soteriology really does amount to this.

I'm honestly just trying to figure out how one who holds to this view would come to their evangelistic philosophies.
