Just to throw a thought out there,
what if I decided to take Rick Warrens book, change the cover, state that I am the author and try to sale it as my own, if I refuse to stop, what should the church do?
You could ask the same for BJU or PCC with their school curricullum
I would appreciate a Scriptural response, not situational ethics.

The point is not to take sides on this issue, I have no dog in that fight. Just wondering is there truly a situation that might warrant a lawsuit. Is it as black and white as we would like to think.

But aren't we to look to Scripture to advise us about such things?
Does Scripture allow us to sue a brother over money?
Is Scripture clear on this subject or does it say it depends on the situation?

So, even if I believe I was defrauded for a lot of money by a brother, it is not okay to sue to get it back? Ever?
Do these verses apply only to laypeople, or to pastors too? How about churches?

Crown Christian Publications is suppose to be a non-profit under the umbrella of Crown College..
I don't think most church members know about those alternate sources of income..and that is worrisome...
How do you know most church members don't?

My question involved suing an individual over an issue of money, not about issues of membership.
It is NEVER right for a believer to sue another believer. Corinthians says, it is better to be defrauded.
God will be the judge and vengence is his.
It is hard to be defrauded but it happens. We need God's grace to be able to get through a situation where one is being defrauded but at the end of the day, we have done what the bible says.
Some people think for themselves and do not depend upon a dictator/pastors words to know the truth. They do the research and find the answers they are looking for.
