LOL Do you honestly think they read it? Many of those subscribers are churches that order several hundred copies and leave them in their foyer for folks to take home. I know our church did that. Most of the time they just sat there. Still, 10-15,000 is a mere pittance and virtually irrelevant. So let him write what he wants. He's no different than some West Coast blogger sounding off his own two cents...
P.S. I like how you just sound off on Russell Andersen's affiliation in this with absolutely no credibility whatsoever. How would you know what he's thinking or what he's said? Are you Russell Anderson?
Perhaps. You can never tell.

I think that this article in the Church Bus News is going to backfire on him, It might not matter so much at the church, but I think it might effect Commonwealth's enrollment and subscriptions to The Church Bus News. You have to bet that they are getting a bunch of cancellations from Schaap supporters. Or am I wrong?
It is unfortunate. The attendance at this years Pastors School is down considerably. Numerous men that I know are upset at Dr. Schaap. There are men that work at FBC that are upset. Former church staff are upset.
Dr. Fugate may loose some subscriptions. Overall I think he will fair better because of this. I think his college may have an incresed attendence. Men like Dr. Jeff Owens who removed his daughter from HAC and placed her in Commonwealth did so for a reason.
I've heard Dr. Owens talk negatively about some literature in the HAC book store. He believes that the King James Bible is inspired. He'll probably not get involved in the mess. He would be accused by some as being jealous that he did not succeed Bro. Hyles.
Let me be very clear, Dr. Owens could have become pastor if he wanted to. He had enough support. Many people were going to write in Bro. Owens. He however asked hundreds not to do so.

That is literally one of the most stupid claims I have read here.
Jeff Owens could not have been (nor did he have enough support to be) pastor if he wanted to. How do I know this, because he did want it and he didn't get it! Of course he wanted it -- are you actually saying he didn't want the pastorate? And by the way, hundreds doesn't nearly constitute enough support to sway a vote of five or six thousand.

Yeah, it was so bad I actually saw people being turned away each day. Oh, wait, did you say down? Huh, must have been done with mirrors.

Now that has to be one of the silliest things I've seen on the FFF. I worked with Jeff Owens in many different areas of FBC; I might know a little about the man myself. What you are suggesting is that he would have been at the center of a church coup! Sorry, I just can't see that. That's also ignoring the fact that the pulpit committee didn't ask him to candidate nor was he on the ballot.

Dr. Anderson had nothing whatsoever to do with it.
Was there not an article by Russell Anderson in Church Bus News attacking Schaap? It does seem that Russell Anderson has forgotten that Jack Hyles was not KJV-only when he donated money towards the starting of Hyles-Anderson College.
