To Calvinists: How long it takes you to believe on Jesus after you heard the gospel?

The reason I make this topic. Because Calvinism doctrine's one of the five points- 'Iresistible Grace'. It teaches that God's effectual of power with force to touch saint's heart after hear the gospel, then immediately believe in Jesus without make decision.

To all Calvinists, please be honest with my question. I cannot see your heart, only God knows you. I am sure several some of you Calvinists did fianlly believe in Jesus took a while after you hear the gospel, not just a second, or one minute either. Also, you better be admit telling me, be honest. WHY you did believed in Jesus after you heard the gospel? Please do not say to me, "Because God tolds me so." You have to admit tell the honest to us, WHY you did believe in Jesus after you heard the gospel? Please do not play with my question, ok? God is watching you.

    Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

Why do you think the irresistible grace brought on by the Holy Spirit happens after rather than before the Gospel message?

The Bible often talks of believers being fishers (to attract or lure) and harvesters (to nurture and gather), but never as hunters (stalking the unsuspecting).Words are finite organs of the infinite mind. They cannot cover the dimensions of what is in truth. They break, chop, and impoverish it.

    Lonevoice,

Before I answer your question. Are you Calvinist?

I'm leaning that way, but certainly no expert on the matter. It is my understanding that the unregenerate man cannot in any way accept the gospel, that he can only accept it once the Holy Spirit has done its work, at which point man cannot help but accept the Gospel. So I guess for the purposes of your survey, it would be immediate.

Because regeneration is unto a living hope, our faith in the resurrection (1 Peter 1:3), which is impossible if we do not know the gospel.

As for why DPt is suggesting God has a time limit in which He has to regenerate somebody after hearing the gospel, I haven't a clue.

The Holy Spirit will regenerate sinners after the gospel message in different ways, according to his sovereign will. Some sinners repent and trust Christ immediately, some only after reflection or having questions answered. The timing is up to the Spirit, but the elect will trust in Christ. Conversely the reprobate never will, and the gospel message serves to harden their hearts and increase their culpability.

Why did you believe in Jesus after you heard the Gospel, and someone else who heard the same Gospel did not? What made you the intelligent/spiritually-minded one?
