First off, I accept the teaching of Jesus Christ in all matters including the soveign grace of the Father. I attend, and am an ordained Deacon in an independent Baptist Church.
Well I Am an Independent Baptist also and I accept 0 points of the Tulip. How many do you?
I don't think "just wondering" is actually what motivates this question, so I'm going to reserve comment until I see some more specifics.
I was trying to see what/how many denominations are Calvinistic. (And I do understand that just because one person is does not make the whole denomination Calvinist.)

All five!

I'm just curious, but do you accept Total Depravity? I recall in my IFB days that seemed to be universally accepted. Another question would be regarding perseverance - do you believe the true saints of God will be empowered by God to remain faithful to the end, or do you believe that a true Christian can fall away?

To those here that claim to accept the teachings of John Calvin, and call them selves Calvinists, what denomination do you belong to. Just wondering
Hello all!
I was reared in a nominally SBC church where I was baptized, married, and ordained to the Gospel ministry. We had a BJU pastor. I said all of that for context and to let everyone here know that I have nothing to hide.
I am a "5 point Calvinist" who has a heart for the lost. I use to be a Bus Pastor in my home church. I still attend an SBC church. I am in the process of having a work on John A. Broadus published by B & H Academic. I am still a member of an SBC church b/c I want and think that it is worth saving and that what use to be remnants of the "Doctrines of Grace" are still here and are well and growing. I am a consenter to the "Founder's movement" and am a "Fullerite," or a Calvinist who has a "warm heart for the lost and evangelism."
"'Nuff said!"
sdg!

PS My friend and colleague Dr. Timothy George, Dean at Beeson Divinity School, has a new take on the Tulip acrostic. I think all who visit this part of the FFF would like to read it. So here tiz:

Is a person who signs the ECT and says that Romanist, who believe in salvation by keeping the seven sacraments and deny faith alone, a true believer?
