    Default Church recommendations

It looks like my youngest son and his wife are moving to Charlotte N.C. How about some church recommendations. I know Charlotte is a big area and they're not sure what part of town they're moving to, so churches in any part of town could be mentioned. I'll give them your recommendations and they'll decide.

One does not have to practice or condone sin to be relevant.
One does not have to shun all change in order to be 'fundamental'.

That will be up to them. I'll give them some churches to visit. But I didn't come to the BJU forum to give them some seeker sensitive/purpose driven churches to check out.. BTW, my daughter-in-law's brother lives down there, and though he's not a preacher, he does preach some and they'll most likely check the church out that he attends. So it may be moot, but I'll advise them to look around. The Lord has place for them.

Bible Baptist Church, Mathews NC. Pastor Ron Allen
2Ti 2:24-26 the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

That was going to be my suggestion. David Snow, my old youth pastor, is on staff there.

I don't know about the Church they should pick, but if their choice of college football teams is as bad as their old man's I'd say they ought to abandon Hail to the Victors and start singing a winner's tune, like "Across the Field", "Hang on Sloopy", or "Carmen Ohio".
