Dr. Miller was the leader of the first team BJU sent out west to work among the Mormons. I was on that team. This was the summer he was named Dean of Men. I got to see him first hand and learned the utmost respect for him. Since he became pastor, my wife and I visit everytime we get to Greenville on Sundays.

Plus, a member of the Board who went to our church in Winston-Salem relocated to Greenville. We had hoped to see him today but he was preaching in Hendersonville.

We did notice that they are expanding the parking lot at Morningside. We got there just as services started and had a hard time finding a space!

My husband went on the Utah mission team with Mr. Miller in 1984. He, too, has a great deal of respect for him. When he (my husband) was ordained in 1996, Mr. Miller was on his ordination council.

My mom made something like it with yellow cake mix, cinamon, brown sugar and corn flakes.

Yes it goes real good with butter and syrup on top and cold milk on the side.

I happened upon this thread while doing a search for something else.

Thanks for posting! I loved this when I was at BJU, but never had the recipe. I think I will make it today.

For those who are interested: The Dining Common cookbook is posted on the Facebook "BJU Survivors" page. Look in the pictures section for the scanned in pages. You can copy and paste them into Word and print out, if you wish.

I made the coffee kuchen yesterday. Blast from the past. (Hubby doesn't like it-- Go figure.)
