On what consistent and logical basis do you consider putting "high" in italics bizarre?
Why do you use such a strong emotionally charged accusation concerning a word in italics when in another thread it is suggested by a KJV-only poster that use of italics is subjective?
The two other accounts of the same story in Matthew 20:30 ["sitting by the way side"] and Luke 18:35 ["sate by the way side"] did not include "high" with way.

It is highly unusual for any word to be in partial italics. Looks to be is attempted ultra-precision run amuck. However, imho the word bizarre is better used for the way that folks like Norris and Wallace strain at the gnat.

There is nothing like using an error to prove one's point. The idea is to "strain OUT a gnat" not "strain at the gnat."
