Why spend time comparing small details in editions of little consequence today ?

When are you going to speak up about twelve full verses in the resurrection account of the Lord Jesus given by Mark ? Announce whether you accept this as fully preserved scripture .. help those who have deficient versions.

    Major in the majors.

    Shalom,
    Steven Avery

I am not going to look for them all, but variations like freewill-offering, burnt-offering, sin-offering, meat-offering, drink-offering and trespass-offering are there.

And, of course, the punctuation at the end of Jeremiah 32:5.

These renderings go back at least as far as the 1637 Cambridge edition. It may be that their source is the standard 1629 Cambridge edition. They were in some Oxford editions. They might still be in the 1762 Cambridge.

    Leviticus 22:18
    freewill offerings (Oxford Classic)
    free-will offerings (1777 Oxford) [1769 Cambridge]
    free-will-offerings (1715, 1758, 1762, 1770, 1804 Oxford) [1817, 1824 Cambridge]
    freewill-offerings (SRB Oxford) [1637 Cambridge]

    Leviticus 22:21
    peace offerings (Oxford Classic)
    peace-offerings (1715, 1758, 1762, 1777, 1804 Oxford, SRB Oxford) [1637, 1769, 1773, 1817, 1824 Cambridge]

Yes, it appears that Scofield did follow an earlier model than the Oxford Edition (of the critical standard of the twentieth century). I have never said, and the evidence does not indicate, that Scofield made any of his own changes in the KJB in his 1917 work.

Perhaps you were aware of them, but some similar variations would be
    "burnt-sacifice" (Lev. 1:3), "wave-offering" (Lev. 7:30), "heave-offering" (Lev. 7:32), "wave-breast" (Lev. 7:34), and "heave-shoulder" (Lev. 7:34).

What is the KJV-only basis for the presumption or assumption that there is such a thing as the "true Cambridge edition"?

If there is supposedly no true standard Oxford edition, why are present Cambridge editions based on the 1769 standard Oxford edition?
