    Default There really are no...

    ...true KJVO's. They don't exist.

I'm bored at the moment, waiting for a client to show up so I thought I would throw this little gem out.

    Do you agree? Disagree?
Finally, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

I believe Dr. Bob had them broken down into 5-6 groups I think. I though I saw it while looking over another forum. I don't know. I know some exist who teach a person can't be saved unless it is by KJV. I guess there is a lot of deceived people in this world. I believe the KJB is the word of God for the English speaking people. Is that KJVO? If it is, I'm a heretic, I preach Ohienko Ukrainian version at church every week.

I believe KJV is the word of God for english speaking people and that there is no error in it. Call it what you like. Other languages would have a good Bible too I suppose.

The question is, do you believe it is the ONLY word of God for English speaking people?

Yes. All the other versions contain the word of God but are not the word of God they miss too much stuff out. That being said I believe a person can get saved through one of those perversions, but I believe that the KJV is the one and only true word of God for english speaking people.

Its what the Bible says. I haven't looked at that much though. I think you are just trying to catch me up in clever debate because you don't like what I believe. Its ok if you don't like it but I believe it so I will be true to that.

i don't consider myself a fundamentalist. but never the less it bothers me to see anyone refer to any translation of the Word of God and call it a "perversion"

regardless of your personal beliefs and opinions, do you ever consider that you might be wrong?

and if you are..... have you considered how would God feel about you labelling the Bible a "perversion"

That's fine. Honestly I don't have an issue with anyone who believes that the KJV is the only real Bible as long as they don't try to convince others of that. To each his own. If you fall into that category, God bless you. The point I am trying to make is that the first time a person comes across a passage of scripture that is not clear or is seemingly contradictory of something else they teach, they tell us that is not what is meant and what that is really saying is...

Whenever that is done, it's retranslating (is that a word?) the Bible to make it more understandable. I would challenge any KJVO to tell me he/she (trying to be PC) never does that.

Katy, please don't think I was attacking you. Adults should be capable of honest dialogue even amidst differences of opinion. Yes, even in matters as weighty as theology.
