Thread: Berean Baptist Church for Sale

First Bank has officially driven in the two-sided FOR SALE sign on the property of Berean Baptist Church as of 4-17-12-here is the link for the listing...4459 US Highway 17, Fleming Island, FL, 32003 - Religious Facility Property for Sale on LoopNet.com. However, the "men of God" of the RT 17 property will not convey. V

With everything that has happened and now seeing the church building, the school, that parking lot....EVERYTHING.....up for sale - won't the pastor of this church (with all the reported expensive leased cars and salarys for him and his family) humble himself and admit that he may be at least partly responsibile for this? I do not understand how anyone that examines themselves before God can not be grieved in their heart. Perhaps he has but it hasn't been reported on the forum.

This is heart breaking........perhaps God will bring good out of it.

I am sure it was an ego blow to lose the church property, but not enough to let the lifestyle go to try to save the buildings. He can just build and build at the other debt free location they acquired.

Only $6 million? I was thinking they were further in debt than that.

Property values for churches have fallen like home values but bankers can hold this against the Neals forever at another church.

Berean was always a mom and pop outfit compared to real mega-churches. $6mil is alot of greenbacks for them to be in the hole. I have added a pticure of the For sale sign in my album.
