I'm sorry I thought the issue was whether or not the school used the KJV not the supporting churches.

It is. My response was mainly to the comments made by drtaylor. Didn't mean to confuse the topic. It was already getting away from the focus on the school. The school is KJV and TR users, but not the typical KJVO stand.

I have friends that go there, and they said that KJV is required for classes and for preachers to preach from. But that they can use whatever version they want aside from that.

I believe 'oldschoolfundy' is correct. I've never known BBC to stray away from the KJV; however, I too believe that some of the independent Baptist churches in Springfield are straying away from it. If I were a student at the college, this would be one of my first questions to ask the Pastor of that particular church in which I'm moving my membership.

This is one reason why I'm so thankful that Trinity Baptist College (in Jacksonville, FL) is a ministry of Trinity Baptist Church. Both the church and the college stand fast to the KJV. Also, the college requires the students to attend Trinity Baptist Church. Initially, I did not like this requirement, but I can now see it's advantages. A student couldn't ask for the best way to train for the ministry.
