I think they still are. However, they did not handle the Tom Glavine situation well. He should have been released about a month earlier once they saw how dominating Hanson was at AAA. Now, did the Braves dump Glavine only for the above reason? Maybe. It could be the McLouth deal just became available about the same time, or the Braves were saving money on Glavine to finance McLouth.

Either way, hands down, Glavine needed to be cut and Hanson called up. Francouer/Anderson aren't getting it done in the outfield offensively so the McLouth deal was one the Braves couldn't pass up.

We are one trade away from dethroning the Phils.

The Phillies just beat the Mets last night, and the Red Sox are coming up Friday. The Braves had 14 years of "CLOSE" World Series wins, but they had bad leadership in the post season. One World Series championship out of 14 speaks for itself.

The Phillies are on their way again...........
