My wife said it was indeed signed by Mickey Carter. I thought it was, too. Whether Mr. Carter sent it or not is not my problem. The problem was indeed that they were concerned for me since I had left the Independent Fundamental Baptist movement. It really did bother me then, and it bothers me now. The arrogance of the IFBx sect will be the ruin of them, and a definite detriment to the cause of Christ.
Oh, and I did ask them to not send me any more things, jm. I called them and let them know I "appreciated their input", but wasn't interested in their materials.

I don't think Brother Tony is very far off here. Attitudes like that do exist among some IFB. Very disturbing but true.
In my own experience, I have run across a Crown student or two (I just remember one right now) that implied that a SBC church was not a New Testament church. Some of them even acted like I was not regenerate or a "baby Christian" for going to the University of Tennessee. What made this even more ridiculous from my point of view was that I used to be a dorm judicial board chairman at a prominent SBC university.
